Licence

Keeping the UK ham radio licence is free. To keep it, one's personal details have to be verified on the OFCOM website every 5 years. Of course any change in details have to be updated on the OFCOM website as soon as possible. As my concept of time passing has been completely messed up since Covid, I now do this at least once per year or whenever I remember! Not doing this will and has resulted in people losing their licences!

How to see when I last verified my details

  1. Access your licensing dashboard here.
  2. Log in with your account details.
  3. At the bottom of the Details section see when it was last updated or verified.

Verifying or updating details

  1. Access your licensing dashboard here.
  2. Log in with your account details.
  3. Select "Update your details" -> "Edit details" -> "Update"
  4. Check or update details and select Save. Do this whether you've changed your details or not! A bit of a weirdness that took me a few tries to figure out.
  5. Go back to your licensing dashboard and check the date/time has updated as described above.
